For more
than a quarter of a century, award winning photographer Shelly
Katz has worked in the world of editorial photography on assignments
for such publications as TIME, LIFE, FORTUNE, PEOPLE WEEKLY and
SPORTS ILLUSTRATED – and for commercial accounts that include
Apple Computer, AT&T, BellSouth, General Motors, IBM, Mobil
Oil and U.S. Steel – just to name a few. >>More
He has photographed every major presidential candidate since 1959 and other major news stories such as the 56-days of the Branch Davidian compound
siege in Waco, Texas, that led to his TIME Magazine cover photo of the
explosion.
Katz also is a veteran of several Day in the Life projects and was part
of the teams that produced the highly acclaimed books, multi-media productions
and internet projects Passage to Vietnam, Christmas Around the World,
A Revolution in Progress, 24-hrs in Cyberspace, and most recently – AMERICA
24/7. He has also worked closely consulting on multi-media projects with
ABC-TV, CBS-TV and SHOWTIME NETWORK.

Throughout the world, in
museums, the Smithsonian Institute, and private collections,
his images are preserved, displayed and admired.
